We are determined to continue to apply the 3R strategy - reduce, reuse, recycle, in order to ensure that we urge contributing to environmental conservation and raise our customers’ awareness of their responsibility towards environmental protection. In 2018, we started the project “100% more SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING FOR PRIVATE LABEL PRODUCTS”, at Group level, in our approach to reduce the use of plastic and increase the rate of recycling of private label product packaging. Shopping bags All the bags in our stores were replaced by environmentally friendly alternatives, 100% compostable, obtained from raw materials from plants. Fruit and vegetable bags To reduce the impact on the environment, we use disposable bags for fruit and vegetables, made out of biodegradable materials based on biopolymers and cornstarch, easily degrading in the environment.
