SUSTAINABILITY REPORT PENNY ROMANIA 2020 66/132 Risk management on logistics and products During the pandemic, we paid special attention to both the security of the supply chain and the safety of the products on the shelf. Ensuring the diversity of products and assortments that our consumers are used to, was essential.Wewere very careful with the preventive measures meant to reduce the spread of the disease and maintain the high quality of distribution and delivery services, so that all food quality requirements were strictly followed. To ensure quality, in 2020,we continued to implement practices and procedures established at group level. We will maintain and continuously improve them in the future. We quickly adapted to the new measures to prevent the spread of Sars-Cov II virus, both through the supply and distribution chain to logistics centers and in stores.We strictly followed the procedures implemented at group level, but locally, we agreed on adapting themeasures.We provided the distribution centers with equipment and disinfectants necessary for the continuous protection against Sars- Cov II and we informed our suppliers, transporters and all our stakeholders about the adaptedmeasures.We closely monitored the health of our employees to prevent the virus from spreading to our customers. As far as our products were concerned, in 2020 we continued our internal program of verification and laboratory testing, through sampling for all private label products. We monitored and we will continue constant monitoring of any deviations and we will manage any sanctions as soon as they occur. All this because ensuring the quality and safety of our customers is paramount. Independent laboratories, accredited according to ISO 17025 performed all the analyses. As another formof ensuring compliance with quality standards, we perform annual audits in logistics centers, from receipt of goods to expedition to stores. In addition, there are special audits in thewarehouseaimedat "Implementing quality requirements" for the fruit and vegetables sector. We conduct periodical audit also in stores to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. The results of internal audits are systematically recorded and transmitted to the responsible persons, in order to take possible measures.
