SUSTAINABILITY REPORT PENNY ROMANIA 2020 70/132 Each area of ​interest has key aspects that we consider and for which we set specific targets. To carry out our activity in a sustainable way, we aligned our commitments regarding the environment, climate and resources with UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. We defined specific objectives and targets to minimize our impact as much as possible and achieve the goals set at the global level. At the group level, our goal for 2030 is to achieve climate neutrality. An important component of the new PENNY identity is the care for environment and for the communities where the company operates. In2020,weredefinedoursustainability strategy, in which the Energy, climate and resources pillar acquired a special importance. As our operations are present throughout the entire country and taking into account that the supply chain has multiple sources around the globe, topics such as energy consumption, CO 2 emissions and resource conservation represent key points in achieving climate neutrality. At PENNY, we do our best to ensure that the impact on the climate and the environment is minimized by: • moderate consumption of resources; • use of more sustainable materials; • energy saving; • avoidance of harmful emissions for the environment.
