SUSTAINABILITY REPORT PENNY ROMANIA 2020 71/132 Energy efficiency Energy consumption is essential in the retail activity and a responsible use of resources can help reduce our impact on the environment. The scope of the Energy Efficiency area of action includes all modes through which we can reduce the energy consumption per square meter of sales area. We are investing more and more in the production of energy from alternative sources, in energy-efficient refrigeration solutions as well as in the construction of energy- efficient stores. Energy saving and reducing or even avoiding emissions with a negative effect on the climate are especially important for us and we make sure we have a minimal impact.
