ETHICS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESSES EXPLAINING THE IMPACT Our main objective is to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers who are increasingly concerned about the origin of food and pay greater attention to how they are produced, from the perspective of their impact on the environment, as well as social justice and food safety standards. By integrating sustainability into our supply chain, we enhance our performance, reduce risks, and build and strengthen trust in the products we sell. The entire supply chain represents a favorable space for the implementation of sustainable strategies and actions. In developing sustainable relationships with our suppliers, we ensure the highest standards of quality, environmental protection, and social responsibility throughout the supply chain. We are aware of the importance of promoting sustainable products at all stages of the value chain and collaborate with local suppliers to offer our customers Romanian products, produced as naturally and sustainably as possible. HOW WE CONTROL THE IMPACT Based on the application of sustainable development principles, supply chain control, and the development of ecological criteria in the selection of external suppliers, we have established sustainable supply chains. All our suppliers have agreed to adhere to our code of conduct, which defines the non-negotiable minimum standards that suppliers must adhere to in commercial transactions. Through the code of conduct, they are obligated to identify, analyze, and prioritize human rights and environmental impacts of business activities and take appropriate measures to remedy or mitigate them. We continue to responsibly source through local investments in supplier development, informing them about the requirements in Romania and those of the REWE Group, and informing customers about the country of origin of products, nutritional elements, and food ingredients.
