Corina CRĂCIUNESCU Team Leader Quality Department Product control and monitoring For all private label products, product specifications are established defining the quality requirements to be met by the supplier throughout the duration of the collaboration. Compliance with quality and food safety requirements is regularly checked by analyzing products in independent, authorized, and certified laboratories. The type and frequency of analytical checks (physicochemical, microbiological, toxicological, sensory) are determined by the Quality Management department on the basis of risk analysis, and the inspection plan is subject to continuous updating. To ensure a constant level of product quality, our specialists also carry out regular sensory checks (tastings). We have a laboratory testing and verification program for all private label products. They undergo an internal audit twice a year. This process plays a key role in quality management and allows us to establish specific requirements for private label products throughout their value chain: raw materials – recipe and labeling – packaging. We also recorded 116 cases of non-compliance with regulations on the impact on product health and safety resulting in a fine or penalty. During the same year, the authorities decided to suspend the operation of some departments in some stores because of their sanitary conditions, but these non-compliances were quickly remedied and operations resumed.
