Sergiu BORDEIANU Maintenance engineer Supporting biodiversity Supporting biodiversity is an important topic in the context of sustainability, and at PENNY we are constantly working to help protect species and habitats in the areas where we operate. Thus, through our landscape plantings, we aim to increase wildlife, including butterflies and insects, which help pollination, as well as squirrels, field mice, rabbits and various bird species. We have an ongoing project to rehabilitate all green spaces on our sites, with the goal of 100% rehabilitation of all green spaces by 2025. Thus, by the end of 2022, we will have landscaped 154 627.51 sqm of the total 272 575.16 sqm of green space owned by PENNY Romania. As landscaped are established, they will also contribute to air quality. We are also investing in water and heat stress resistant plants and landscaping that require less water.
