Employee welfare EXPLAINING THE IMPACT Employees are the central pillar of our day to day work. That is why we focus our efforts on attracting ambitious, talented, high-performing people with a solid background in their field. We provide a safe, dynamic working environment and encourage development in the best direction for each employee, within a flexible organizational structure that puts the employee at the center. We also offer the opportunity to be part of our team to people from vulnerable groups who are finding it increasingly difficult to integrate into today's labor market, such as people at the start of their careers, people over 50 and people with disabilities. OUR IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE IN FIGURES Representation of the internal structure of our employees is carried out throughout the report according to employee categories, as follows: headquarters, logistics centers and stores. And, the regional breakdown is structured based on our logistics centers: Ștefăneștii de Jos, Turda, Bacău and Filiași. The geographical breakdown of these regions and the corresponding number of stores at the end of 2022 can be found at page 180, "Map of PENNY Regions in Romania". Our team enjoyed significant growth in 2022, reaching 6 596 employees at the end of the year, an increase of around 12% compared to the previous year. We also have 28 workers who are not PENNY employees, but whose work is controlled by the company. In this category we include people assimilated to employees for certain projects, activities or services that we cannot effectively address through our own workforce. HOW WE CONTROL THE IMPACT We rely on strategic human resources management with working concepts tailored to employees' needs, safe working conditions, personalized training opportunities and appreciation of each individual employee. Operationally, we implement rigorous processes that involve our employees in specific activities. The aim of these activities is to mitigate risks and create opportunities for both the business and employees.
