Cristina ALEXOIU Regional Human Resources Manager Entrepreneurial development My PENNY Own it! This is the program that lays an important foundation to achieving an "entrepreneurial" culture, where cross-functional teams are responsible for the success of PENNY stores, optimize, take initiative and take ownership of their implementation. The objectives of the programme are: z Creating an entrepreneurial culture z Finding innovative solutions z Continuous improvement of in-store processes z Employee development The 2 teams in the programme are made up of 34 colleagues working in Headquarters in various departments and are coordinated by National Sales Managers. Team members work together and support each other to identify innovative ideas that differentiate us in a competitive market. Some of the ideas generated take the form of projects. In 2022 we kicked off the second edition. In this edition we kept the 2 teams, and the novelty was that the 2 teams were joined by colleagues from Headquarter, who chose a store to test and implement business optimization ideas. Thus, 24 colleagues joined the programme, together with colleagues from the store. Currently the 2 teams have a total of 70 projects underway, and this year's joiners are testing 18 ideas to improve the customer experience in PENNY stores, according to their area of expertise. 5 Days in Store The 5 Days in Store programme is dedicated to all headquarter employees who want to get to know better their colleagues from the PENNY stores. Thus, the participants in this programme spent 5 days in the chosen store and worked together with colleagues in the stores, had the opportunity to get to know the teams and the activities they carry out on a daily basis. In 2022, 36 colleagues from departments such as IT, Marketing, Accounting, Human Resources, Expansion, Construction, Controlling, Internal Audit and Security or Logistics Centres participated in the 5 Days in Store programme. "5 Days in Store" means: z Collegiality z Communicate z Teamwork Code of talent We implemented Code of Talent, a microlearning platform that was used in training programs delivered to colleagues in Stores and Logistics Centers to practice and consolidate the information received in the course. The platform is also used to apply Induction tests more efficiently and quickly, but also in the operational area, in the form of missions, or challenges, where colleagues demonstrate compliance with processes and procedures in the area of freshness.
