Humanitarian aid for people in vulnerable situations The Food Banks are trusted partners with whom we have been doing well for a long time, so we have not hesitated to join forces again in 2022. Together with the Regional Food Banks in Oradea, Roman and Cluj we provided support to refugees in Ukraine. To do this, in addition to the products donated on behalf of PENNY, we have also expanded the number of stores where we organize the collection of products donated by our customers for people in need. We sustain the Dopomoha platform It is essential that our resources and help reach those who need it most, in the simplest and most effective way possible. For those arriving in Romania from Ukraine, it is very important to be correctly informed, from reliable sources, such as the Dopomoha platform – easy to navigate and containing the main answers they need to cope in a new and unfamiliar space. We have also offered our help in supporting the platform, and in stores near the border and near refugee camps people were able to find posters that would have guide them to the platform. People helping people Together with our partners, we are providing humanitarian aid to those affected. Through the Red Cross, we made it possible for our customers to donate to the humanitarian efforts for people leaving Ukraine. Cash donations could be made through the platform initiated by the Red Cross or in the form of products in specially designed boxes directly in our stores. Close to Chernivtsi, Ukraine Solidarity knows no borders, and together with our partners in good deeds, the Regional Food Banks, we managed the first delivery of 16 tons of non-perishable food and hygiene products in Chernivtsi to the Big Hearts Foundation, which cares for children and families in need. We thank to all the people involved in this process, our colleagues, but also our partners Ahead Logistics, Regional Food Bank Oradea and Regional Food Bank Roman. For football, for life We supported the efforts of the Romanian Football Federation, with whom we sent a first shipment of donations to the Chernivtsi region in Ukraine. In addition to the medical equipment purchased by the FRF, the donations from PENNY helped to collect basic food and canned goods as well as hygiene products (toothpaste, sanitary alcohol, soap, etc.). Our customers were able to donate non-perishable food and hygiene products in specially designed boxes placed in the stores. Together with the Food Bank of Oradea, Roman, Cluj and Bucharest, we contributed to help refugees from Ukraine by donating food and other necessary products. We expanded our store network to 51 partner stores where PENNY customers were able to offer humanitarian aid to people in need in the form of products purchased in our stores.
