We integrated initiatives into our operations that drive the achievement of strategic objectives. This integration was achieved by pragmatically considering PENNY Romania as an important player in the Romanian retail market. We approach business in an ethical way with respect for human rights, with fair and honest business approaches and we are always close to our stakeholders. The development of local targets and initiatives, the operationalization of initiatives, the control and monitoring of the activities is carried out locally in Romania by the Sustainability Committee. This committee functions as a decision-making and idea-generating body. PENNY Romania's sustainability strategy is subject to regular reviews that take into account all available information, including customer surveys, competitor analyses and political debate analyses. We identify and test opportunities. We work together for sustainable mobility. At the end of 2022, we achieved a first in Romanian retail. Together with our partners at Step One Spedition and Merce-des-Benz Trucks & Buses Romania, we started testing the eActros 300, the first electric truck available in Romania. Also in the same year, we launched the "100 business ideas for Romania" initiative. In collaboration with the Academy of Economic Studies, we analyzed and integrated 100 local business opportunities in the form of a guide, from industries such as agriculture or packaging to cosmetics, with the aim of identifying business development solutions based on 100% Romanian and 3RO-aligned products.
