Georgeta ELISEI Head of Human Resources Department Partnerships and affiliations We remain committed to supporting sustainable development in our society and economy by working with our partner organizations that promote business development, sustainability, children's education and development, environmental protection, access to healthcare and more. We have aligned our work with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. Details of our affiliation with the UN SDGs are described out within this report on page 29. Our main affiliations are: z The Association of Large Retail Networks in Romania (AMRCR) z The Confederation of Concordia z The German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK) In 2022 we became founding members of the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit organization that promotes the principles of diversity and inclusion in the Romanian business community and supports the development of the Romanian economy by implementing greater diversity and inclusion. We joined this unique Romanian initiative because we believe that our community’s progress depends on a catalyst for development based on the principles of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities. We partner with schools because we firmly believe that, over time, we will attract young, skilled employees to our company. We believe that the lack of information about the market opportunities has a negative impact on students' lives. That is why, by presenting them with the benefits that a retail company can offer young people, we are convinced that we have a chance to guide them towards a rewarding career. This is a medium-term approach that will benefit us and the young people involved over the next 3 to 5 years. Every time we start such a partnership, the first step is to organize an event where we present them the opportunities of a career in PENNY stores. The participants then have the chance at the event to raise questions about their career path within PENNY to one of the sales representatives. In this way, participants can gain a realistic perspective from someone who works in our stores.
