We guide our business based on the principle of precaution. Thus, for the risks identified at the national level in 2022, we have set 116 specific actions to mitigate risks and address opportunities in Romania, 56 of which are unique. Among the actions currently being implemented, we mention: z At regular intervals, employees in high-risk positions are briefed by the legal and compliance departments on current antitrust issues and have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss z Updating the way-of-working methods and guidance z Updating contractual clauses with our partners z Employee participation in online and face-to-face training on various topics z Organizing training workshops on data protection z Conducting panel discussions z Updating the monitoring of quantitative key performance indicators z Updating collaboration conditions with suppliers z Applying the 4-Eye Principle in the design of work-related tasks z System monitoring z Monitoring compliance with work instructions Climate-related risks Climate-related risks and opportunities are not yet included as part of risk management in REWE Group's management report. However, at national level we are already addressing these issues firmly. We pay attention to both physical and transitional risks caused by climate change. For example, extreme weather events such as droughts or floods affect the food sector and raw material extraction. We follow the evolution of specific indicators such as cereal yields per hectare in Romania or the rising raw material costs in the food and beverage sector due to global warming. We are also analyzing the locations of our stores that could be affected by extreme weather events, as shown by the flooding incident in Bușteni in mid-2022. Our store operations were affected for several hours. At the same time, pricing CO2 emissions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Paris Climate Agreement, as well as increasing reporting requirements under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) or the EU taxonomy, are issues we are considering.
