The 120 trucks are monitored in real time, and, according to logistics companies, the proportion of EURO 6 vehicles used was over 60%. The load capacity of the trucks was 95%, similar to the previous year. Temperature control in trucks and warehouses is done online. Given that the number of PENNY stores increased in 2020, we used a larger number of trucks every day and traveledmore kilometers, which resulted in higher fuel consumption than the previous year. Risk management - energy, climate and resources The entire supply chain of the company can be affected by climate vulnerabilities and risks: from the supply of resources, to the operation of stores and logistics warehouses. Increasing pressure on natural resources, global crises and poor value chain management may restrict access to products or increase costs. Beyond the obvious environmental benefits, better resource management, regular maintenance of PENNY sites and the essential safety measures applied will increase our resilience to risk. Continuous control of the utilities supply flow was essential for our operations even in times of crisis, as it was last year, a year that put pressure on many areas and sectors of activity. Our facility employees were in direct contact with facility distributors and all subcontractors to reduce potential risks, continuously monitor utilities flows and coordinate constant equipment maintenance so that they operate within normal parameters.
