Digital responsibility Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) is a development direction assumed at Group level for which we pay special attention, this can be considered a condition for the development of our company. At the Group level, we see RDF as an obligation to increase operational digitalization and promote digital skills. Inevitably, this is associated with responsible data processing. In 2020, the REWE Group published the "AI Manifesto", which contains specific, easyto-understand recommendations for working with AI-based applications and processes to be taken into account when developing AI applications. At the same time, a regular and intensive exchange between employees from different areas of the company and beyond the company's borders is promoted, to help shape digitalization in a responsible way. These concerns towards innovation allow us to keep up with industry trends and meet our customers with novel solutions that can improve the shopping experience. At the same time, going digital or developing more solutions in this direction can also help support our efforts to conserve resources and reduce negative impacts on the environment. Such examples are: z Expanding digital commerce services: optimizing delivery route routes, offering a less climate-friendly alternative to individual shipments made by different customers z Distributing the PENNY leaflet via WhatsApp and the PENNY app reducing resource consumption by offering an alternative to classic printed leaflets z Employee e-learning platform offers a more sustainable alternative to face-to-face classes (by reducing travel) or distributing course materials We continued the implementation and development of measures and projects developed in previous years, which support responsible practice and sustainable development: z Queue Management Platform – optimizing the time spent by PENNY customers at the cash register z Paperless office – implementation of the electronic signature z Digital commerce operation – implementing RPA for automating financial processes z Optimizing the use of paper in accounting processes carried out in stores In 2023, we conducted 5 internal audits on cybersecurity topics, because of which we did not identify any threats. Thus, we have not had any security breaches or thefts of personal or commercial data or contamination of the internal network with malware.
