Bread and bakery products In 2023 we collaborated with 69 local producers of bread and bakery products, registering an increase of 5% compared to the 66 of the previous year, the company's objective being to have a maximum distance of 50 km from the factory to the stores for local producers. We follow as before: z The guarantee of the lowest price in the locality z Product availability / fast delivery z Supporting local producers By collaborating with local bread suppliers, we ensure the freshness of the products by: z The shortening of the distribution chain, which allows the supply of bread even twice a day, and implicitly the large volume of products purchased from local bread suppliers, allows the significant growth of their businesses. z Inclusion in the selection process of local suppliers of the criterion of 50 km distance from the stores to be served. We continue to ensure the transparency of the baking process by using ovens located in sight. The products arrive in stores ready to be baked and offered for sale directly at the location. We make sure that we comply with the specifications for baking various assortments and that we use the baking equipment safely. Hygiene and food safety are priorities, as is the assessment of product quality and the implementation of appropriate measures if they do not meet the established standards. We have also introduced a baking program monitoring system to ensure the consistency and quality of our products.
