Sustainability Report 2023

These periodic audits follow the following frequency schemes: z All new suppliers are audited before product listings. z All suppliers that deliver sensitive products are audited annually perishability (fresh meat, milk products made from fresh milk, fish) z Annually, suppliers who do not prove the certifications required by our company are audited z In addition, all private label suppliers that have the certifications required by our company are audited at regular intervals. We require all our private label suppliers to hold at least one certification recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The certifications that meet this condition are: z International Featured Standards (IFS) Food – Food and Feed z International Featured Standards (IFS) Household and Personal Care (HPC) – Non-food category products z British Retail Consortium (BRC) z Food Safety System Certification Scheme (FSSC) 88.5% of all private label suppliers held one of these certifications at the end of 2023, while the rest had taken steps in this regard. For those suppliers who have not yet obtained one of these certifications, we carry out audits that follow the criteria of the IFS, BRC or FSSC standards, depending on the standard chosen by the supplier for which it has started implementation steps. In 2023, we conducted 93 such audits, 22% more than the previous year. Through these audits for private label products, we identify and prevent potential hazards related to product safety and compliance.
