This means that we will engage in the value chain and encourage our suppliers to set targets in this direction as well. The achievement of the set objectives is addressed through detailed planning of measures and investments to enable energy efficiency, the transition to renewable energy sources, the phasing out of climate-intensive refrigerants and other activities. To achieve the commitment objectives under Scope 3, we intend to improve our cooperation practices with suppliers by communicating to them the approaches they can take, and we will include other processes relevant to this purpose in our calculations. While we have made progress in reducing absolute direct emissions (Scope 1), absolute indirect emissions associated with purchased energy (Scope 2) and supply chain emissions (Scope 3) have increased. The highest increase of the three categories for 2023 was recorded on Scope 3 and resulted from the expansion of operational activities meaning an increase in energy consumption.
