Use of reusable logistics systems As part of our logistics processes, we continue to implement sustainable solutions to reduce waste generation. Thus, in 2023 we continued to collaborate with CHEP for the reuse of wooden pallets and with IFCO for the implementation of the Plastic Container Reuse (CPR) program, two of the most well-known international companies in the field of sustainable management of packaging and reusable assets in the supply chain. Thus, within our logistics processes in 2023, 17% of our suppliers used exclusively CHEP pallet delivery, and another 35% a mix system between CHEP and Europallet. Thus, 49% of the volume of goods transited used CHEP pallets. Of the quantity of crates used for the delivery of products in the categories of vegetables and fruits, 25% were IFCO. 6.6% of fruit and vegetable suppliers delivered exclusively using IFCO crates. By using the rental services offered by CHEP Romania for sharing and reusing pallets through rental, we participate in protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable logistics model. As part of our collaboration with IFCO, we carried out a campaign to increase the use of returnable packaging in the fruit and vegetable category, with the objective of extending this initiative to other types of products to reduce the use of single-use packaging. We thrive together in the circular economy. Thus, by using IFCO reusable packaging, we have actively participated in the circular economy and contributed to the sustainability of the fresh food supply chain.
