Interventions in the operational area The "Employees and Society" pillar is divided into four operational directions, representative of the identified material aspects: "Employee wellbeing", "Social Responsibility", "Education and Awareness" and "Local Communities". We rely on strategic human resources management, adapting to the needs of employees, offering safe working conditions, personalized training programs and appreciation. We focus on: z Human Resources Policies and Employee Benefits z Support for important milestones in employees' lives z Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy z Opportunities for people over 50 years old z Education and training programs z Wellbeing Programs z Health and safety at work In terms of Social Responsibility, we were involved in various causes in 2023, covering a wide range of areas and needs. However, the most significant investments was directed towards the environment and education, thus supporting those causes that we consider having a great impact today. Education plays an essential role in the development of future generations. We believe that young people and their education are an investment in the future of our society. For this reason, we contribute annually to the implementation of educational development projects. We invest both in children's education, through programs dedicated to school education (such as: "Transforming education together"; "Education builds the future"), as well as in training young people, through internship programs for those who want to start a career in retail (such as "School of Arts and Crafts"). We support the local communities through health promotion campaigns, standing for disadvantaged people and investments in infrastructure. We also encourage employees to get involved in our social responsibility (CSR) campaigns and strive to raise awareness of the causes in which we are involved. We believe that the success of our business is possible only in a prosperous society, which is why our mission involves an active contribution to the development of the community in which we operate.
