Employee welfare EXPLANATION OF THE IMPACT We believe that the success of a business is primarily based on people. Their experience and determination significantly influence the development of the business. That is why we intend from the recruitment stage to identify ambitious and motivated people with relevant experience in their field of activity. Subsequently, we strive to maintain this motivation through personalized development programs and merit recognition. At the same time, we are aware of the difficulties faced by vulnerable Groups in the labor market. Thus, at PENNY, we also focus on the idea of offering opportunities to people at the beginning of their careers, those over 50 years old and people with disabilities, integrating them into our team. OUR IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE IN FIGURES The internal structure of our teams and the detailed information about them (including the breakdown by gender, region, and contract type) are managed and reported by the HR department, according to internal methodologies. This data is collected and analyzed periodically to ensure transparency and compliance with reporting requirements. In the following pages, you can find the illustrated map of the PENNY regions, which shows both the regional distribution of the stores and the locations of the logistics centers in Bacău, Turda, Filiași and Ștefăneştii de Jos. This approach allows us to effectively monitor and report on the diversity and distribution of the workforce, contributing to our sustainability and inclusion goals. In 2023, the team grew by 10.4% compared to the previous year, and staff turnover decreased by 5.5%. This subchapter includes detailed information on the structure and composition of our teams and the quantification of the measures by which we ensure the well-being of employees. The management roles are occupied by the persons with employee status within the PENNY Romania Executive, Directorate and Managing Board (Management Board) and by the employees who occupy positions of forecasting and organizing the activity, coordinating and training subordinate staff and controlling the proposed objectives, such as those in the positions of Team Leader, Head of Service, Head of Department, Sales Manager, Logistics Center Manager.
