Diversity and equal opportunities WE operate with the support of thousands of employees from diverse cultural backgrounds. We value diversity and focus on promoting a diverse employee structure and maintaining a job without discrimination, regardless of gender, age, religion, gender identity, origin, or disability. We want to ensure that all employees have equal opportunities, including by applying the principle of equal pay for equal work, according to the REWE Group. Collective bargaining agreements play a key role in ensuring a fair pay system based on pay grade and not on gender or other factors, which is why 100% of our employees were covered by collective bargaining agreements in 2023. In 2023, to support diversity and inclusion within the company, PENNY began the process of developing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) policy and procedure that will be officially published in 2024, marking an important step in our ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining a work environment that values and respects diversity in all its forms. We have started compiling a plan to communicate this policy to all employees, containing relevant resources and educational materials. A calendar of DE&I events has also been developed to promote these values. The management of PENNY Romania, actively supported by the Human Resources, Compliance and Legal departments, assumes responsibility for the effective implementation of the DE&I policy. This includes continuous assessment of risks and opportunities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that the strategies adopted are aligned with our corporate values and objectives. Through this collaborative approach, we are committed to fostering a work environment where diversity and inclusion are recognized as essential elements of our success, and each team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to our shared vision.
