Entrepreneurial development – My PENNY Own it! The MY PENNY Own it! program originates from the desire to innovate, to optimize store processes and to offer development possibilities to colleagues. Within the program, cross-functional teams work together to find innovative solutions, which then materialize in projects that have a common goal: the continuous improvement of processes in PENNY stores. My PENNY Own it! program was created for the development of an entrepreneurial culture within the organization. The objectives of this initiative are to involve employees in identifying innovative solutions to existing challenges, optimizing store processes and developing a team of colleagues in this direction. In October 2022, we started the second edition of the MY PENNY Own it program. During it, the two teams already formed were joined by 18 volunteer colleagues from the Headquarter, who had the opportunity to choose a PENNY store where they could assess and implement optimization ideas, working together with colleagues from the branches to implement the projects. At the end of September 2023, we celebrated the success of the second edition, with over 100 ideas and 67 projects implemented in the PENNY Buftea 2, PENNY Cluj Napoca and PENNY Otopeni stores. Beyond the projects and the positive impact in terms of process improvement, the MY PENNY Own it. It is about creating an entrepreneurial culture, encouraging people in the team to experiment, explore new opportunities, and step out of their comfort zone, while taking the initiative and actively engaging in implementation actions. After two editions full of challenges, we are proud of objectives achieved, impactful projects, optimized processes and, finally, 51 colleagues whose ideas and successes translate into the success of MY PENNY Own it. 5 days in stores The "5 days in stores" program is dedicated to colleagues at Headquarter, to help them better understand PENNY Romania’s operations. For this, we have 5 days that we make available to those who want to better understand the activity of colleagues in stores. In 2023, we had 30 colleagues involved, from departments such as: Audit and Security, Marketing, MPDA, Legal, IT, Procurement.
