Sustainability Report 2023

WELLO – School of Health Partner: WELLO Association Purpose: To promote healthy lifestyle education for children The Wello nutrition program was launched in 2017 with an artificial intelligence mobile app that helps children eat healthier. In 2022, the Wello program received accreditation from the Romanian Ministry of Education to introduce the program in schools across the country. In the same year, with the help of Mainstage the Agency, a Wello virtual character was created to teach children lessons in schools. It is the largest national nutrition education program in Romania, accredited by the Ministry of Education. The nutrition education program was initiated in October 2023, after it was proposed to 18 schools in Cluj-Napoca and 3 in the metropolitan area in September 2023, at the beginning of the school year. Two dietitian nutritionists who are part of the School of Health team have selected 42 master's students from the Iuliu Haţieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, specializing in Nutrition and Quality of Life. They went through 6 hours of training during which they learned how to approach the activity, how to use the videos and supporting texts and how to present them to the students. The plan for the near future, by the end of the school year, prioritizes the expansion of the network of local and national schools to which the health education program will be presented and the development and strengthening of partnerships with the school environment that can facilitate the dissemination of the program. Green Film Days Partner: ARTA Association Purpose: To promote environmental protection education through cinematic art In 2023, we held the first edition of the climate education event, which was attended by 300 students and teachers, in which a series of workshops were prepared for schools in Cluj-Napoca, but also in rural areas.
