As far as financial activity is concerned, during 2023 the obligations provided by Accounting Law 82/1991 and OMFP 1802/2014 were complied with subsequent amendments regarding the harmonization of European directives. Also, the principles of accounting (prudence, permanence of methods, business continuity, independence of the exercise, intangibility of the opening balance sheet, separate valuation of assets and liabilities, non-compensation, prevalence of economic over legal, materiality threshold), accounting rules and methods provided by the regulations in force, rules for preparing financial statements were also observed. During the year, all financial-accounting operations have been prepared according to the legal provisions in force, considering the accounting principles, accounting methods and policies chosen according to the company's policy, to give a real and correct situation of the company's financial position and performance. The financial statements for 2023 were prepared based on the analytical trial balance. The accounting records were made chronologically and systematically, according to the rules in force, each patrimonial operation being recorded in a supporting document. The year 2023 was a good year for PENNY Romania, recording Net profit margin* (compared to the previous year) +48% The profit and loss account accurately reflects income and expenses as well as the results of the reporting period. The operating revenues for 2023 are represented by 97.39% of the retail sale of goods in the work points.
