2024 Sustainability Report

During 2024, 87 private label products were withdrawn from sale, representing 53.7% of the total withdrawn products, the rest concerned products under the suppliers' brand. The total of 113 withdrawals initiated materialized by the removal of 162 products from the shelf. In 2024, we recorded a lower number of controls by the authorities compared to the previous year. In 2024, the authorities carried out 839 controls, of which 67.3% resulted in sanctions on product quality and labeling information. By comparison, in 2023, the penalty rate was 77.3%, indicating an improvement in compliance over the past year. The results reflect our progress in implementing internal control measures and our responsibility towards consumers. We continue to maintain rigorous standards and regularly carry out checks on our private label products to ensure that pre-set quality standards and food safety requirements are met. If we identify any issue that could compromise the health and safety of consumers, we promptly intervene with effective measures to recall the product from sale and properly inform customers. In 2024, with no public recalls of products requiring additional communications, we have not implemented other ways of informing consumers. The communication was carried out through the standard channels, in accordance with the applicable legal requirements. 969 839 746 565 2023 2024 Authority controls of which sanctions applied by the control and surveillance authorities on issues regarding the quality and labeling information of products 2023 vs. 2024 77.3% 67.3% Rate of inspections that resulted in sanctions Number of inspections by authorities and sanctions applied SUSTAINABILITY STEP-BY-STEP CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS SUSTAINABLE ASSORTMENT ENERGY, CLIMATE AND RESOURCES EMPLOYEES AND SOCIETY INDEX GRI & SASB SUSTAINABLE ASSORTMENT
