Biodeck supplies biodegradable and compostable bags, made from Romanian corn starch and biopolymers, in a production process powered by over 60% solar energy. Through this collaboration, we are helping to reduce our carbon footprint and promote a circular economy through the use of sustainable packaging. "The production of our compostable bags starts from 100% Romanian corn starch and biopolymers, the main components. In the factory in Buftea, powered by over 60% solar energy, we carry out the production of raw materials by mixing, homogenization and extrusion, ensuring rigorous quality control. All these raw materials are certified by TUV Austria, through the OK Home Compost and OK Industrial Compost certifications. All production waste is collected and reintegrated into the process, ensuring 100% circularity. We test compostability according to the European standard EN 13432 and constantly monitor the mechanical performance of the products. Working with local suppliers generates jobs in Romania, and green energy contributes significantly to reducing our carbon footprint."
