Through our Energy Policy, we are committed to the following principles: • full legal compliance on energy consumption and energy efficiency • Correct data management and continuous improvement of energy-related performance and our energy management system • Promoting awareness among our employees and customers about energy efficiency and climate protection • Increasing energy efficiency and use of renewable energy Overall, we are committed to conducting our business in a responsible and sustainable way, with a focus on reducing the amount of energy generated from fossil fuels and switching to renewable sources. We take actions and implement various technologies to optimize specific energy consumption in the following areas of operations: stores, logistics centers, central and logistics transport. By adhering to these principles, we support the REWE Group's climate protection goal through our energy management. We will continue to promote the expansion of renewable energy sources, take steps towards climate neutrality by 2040 and continue to use energy-efficient technologies. The first step towards energy efficiency is to carefully monitor consumption and associate this data with operational activities, locations and other relevant factors that may indicate specific consumption patterns.
