2024 Sustainability Report

Biodiversity Supporting biodiversity is an important topic in the context of sustainability, and within our company we are constantly striving to contribute to the protection of species and habitats in the areas where we operate. In the context of our commitment to protecting regional biodiversity, a study dedicated to the conservation of local species of fauna and flora was completed in 2024, with implementation planned from 2025. The study proposes concrete measures to support biodiversity, including the installation of nests and feeders for birds and bats, as well as houses for beneficial insects, made of natural materials. Although the full implementation of the study is scheduled for 2025, some actions related to vegetation and planting have already been started in previous years, contributing to the creation of favorable microhabitats for local species. These interventions aimed at the responsible use of natural resources and the promotion of the regeneration of affected ecosystems. Through this phased approach, we aim to strengthen the positive impact on the environment and actively contribute to maintaining the ecological balance in the areas where we operate. Also, through our landscape plantings, we aim for an increase in wildlife, including butterflies and insects, which help pollinate, as well as squirrels, field mice, rabbits and various species of birds. We have an ongoing project to redevelop all green spaces within our sites, with the objective of remodeling all green spaces 100% by 2025. As the landscaped areas settle down, they will also contribute to air quality. We also invest in plants and landscaping that are resistant to water and heat stress, which require low water consumption. We use native species or locally adapted non-native species to protect ecosystems from the risk of contamination with invasive species.
