2024 Sustainability Report

Logistics and Mobility EXPLANATION OF THE IMPACT In 2024, logistics remains a key area for business efficiency in the retail sector. Its impact on our corporate structure is profound, influencing both day-to-day operations and financial performance. As an essential element for the optimal performance of our activities, any disruption in the logistics chain can trigger domino effects, affecting our entire way of operating. At the same time, road transport can contribute significantly to the deterioration of the environment and the quality of social life, through harmful emissions and pollutants resulting from the burning of fossil fuels. HOW WE CONTROL THE IMPACT The efficient control of logistics flows is coordinated by our logistics department, which is essential for the optimal operation of warehouses and stores, as well as for the coordination of all freight transport processes. During 2024, all freight transports were carried out exclusively through subcontracted fleets from companies specialized in providing these services. We have continued to improve our logistics processes by: • optimization of logistics processes and transport routes through the use of a dedicated planning system • reduces distances between warehouses and stores • increasing the use rate of vehicles • modernization of the contracted fleet OUR IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE IN FIGURES • 91.33% of the freight fleet is composed of Euro 6 vehicles • Although the distance traveled for deliveries increased by 4.47% compared to the previous year, we optimized transport routes to maintain the same average distance between warehouses and stores • 31% of the PENNY store network is equipped with electric charging stations MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGEMENT SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE ABOUT US AND OUR VALUE CHAIN ABOUT THE REPORT THE FUTURE IS MADE TODAY SUSTAINABILITY MILESTONES SUSTAINABILITY REPORT PENNY ROMANIA 2024 192/276
