2024 Sustainability Report

Equality and human rights at work We operate with the support of thousands of employees from diverse cultural backgrounds. We value diversity and focus on promoting a diverse workforce structure and maintaining a workplace without discrimination, regardless of gender, age, religion, sexual identity, origin or disability. We want to ensure that all employees have equal opportunities, including by applying the principle of equal pay for equal work, according to the REWE Group. Collective agreements play a key role in ensuring a fair pay system, based on the degree of remuneration and not on gender or other factors, which is why 100% of our employees were covered in 2024 by collective agreements. In 2024, to support diversity and inclusion within the company, we completed the development of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) policy that will be officially published, marking an important step in our ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining a work environment that values and respects diversity in all its forms. We have started compiling a plan for communicating this policy to all employees, containing relevant educational resources and materials. A calendar of DE&I events has also been created to promote these values. The management of our company, actively supported by the Human Resources, Compliance and Legal departments, takes responsibility for the effective implementation of the DE&I policy. This includes the continuous assessment of risks and opportunities related to diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring that the strategies adopted are aligned with our corporate values and objectives. Through this collaborative approach, we are committed to fostering a work environment where diversity and inclusion are recognized as essential elements of our success, and each team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to our shared vision. A negative gender pay gap means that, on average, women earn more than men within an organization. Additional information about the ratio between women’s and men’s base salaries is presented in the section “Competitive salaries for employees.” SUSTAINABILITY STEP-BY-STEP CORPORATE GOVERNANCE AND BUSINESS SUSTAINABLE ASSORTMENT ENERGY, CLIMATE AND RESOURCES EMPLOYEES AND SOCIETY INDEX GRI & SASB EMPLOYEES AND SOCIETY
