Our diversity initiatives apply to all of our practices and policies, including recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, professional development and training, merit and performancebased promotions, social and wellness programs, and termination. We promote a work environment based on gender equity and diversity, which encourages respect, understanding, fair treatment, teamwork, respectful communication, cooperation, work-life balance, loyalty, objectivity, trust and honesty. By recruiting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce, fostering a culture of learning and awareness, providing equal opportunities for career growth, encouraging collaboration and innovation, and supporting employees, we are committed to creating an inclusive and respectful work environment. We promote diversity and inclusion in our interaction with customers, suppliers, partners and communities, thereby raising awareness in the industry and in the communities in which we operate. Our policies and practices relating to human rights, diversity and equal treatment are based on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO). We strongly condemn any form of physical abuse or violent threat, sexual, physical or psychological harassment, forced labor and exploitation of minors. In 2024, there were two incidents related to discrimination and four other complaints of violations of the labor code assessed by the company, but there were no monetary losses as a result of legal proceedings associated with discrimination. At the same time, in 2024 the value of material fines, penalties and compensations for serious human rights problems and incidents related to one's own workforce was 0. Our employees are encouraged to file complaints and request the support of employee representatives to solve any unpleasant situations at work. We stand ready to intervene and take immediate action if such concerns are raised. Since 2018, we have been signatories of the Diversity Charter, promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities among our employees. In 2022, we became corporate founding members of the Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce (RDCC), thus strengthening our commitment to these values. We are committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I), respecting and adhering to all the legislative provisions in force established by the Romanian legislation. We take responsibility to align our internal policies and practices with these legal norms, thus guaranteeing a fair and respectful environment for all our colleagues. The Code of Conduct defines mandatory standards of conduct for all REWE Romania employees and we are guided by these in our relations with business partners, who must comply with the requirements of applicable laws and ILO labor standards.
