Actions in the Employee App Beginning 2024: 1 409 users END 2024: 2 150 users In 2024 we implemented the following actions to develop and improve the internal PENNY Team application. • Update menu sections and structure • Introducing 4 new sections: Christmas@PENNY, MY PENNY Own it, Digitalizarea@ PENNY, Loyalty Campaigns • Implementing a strategy based on two-way communication • Uploading content regularly, according to the projects, actions and information transmitted on the other communication channels • Data research to identify strengths, weaknesses, and key points for strategy development • Launching actions to encourage active user participation, by generating content and increasing the engagement rate Recruitment and retention of employees We aim to provide a transparent and accessible recruitment process by implementing technology in the selection process. In all our stores, candidates can choose to use Kiosk-type devices for the electronic submission of applications. Also, in the preliminary interaction, candidates who opt for roles in stores or warehouses can start the recruitment process with the help of a chat bot that conducts the initial interviews for the positions available in stores. In this way, we hope to encourage potential candidates by presenting the opportunities offered in the retail sector that involve stable, flexible jobs with multiple development opportunities. After hiring, we ensure that all employees, regardless of gender or experience, have equal chances of promotion and we emphasize their continuous development by assessing their learning potential, determination and proven proactivity in the activity. We follow the team integration procedures dedicated to new colleagues (onboarding) well established for each business unit (headquarters, logistics centers or stores). Each new employee is given an onboarding plan, which includes the necessary steps and support personnel, to ensure a smooth and efficient transition within the company. After the onboarding period, we collect feedback from new employees through the "4 months after hiring" program to evaluate and improve the process. The rate of new hires is calculated for each category of employees, by dividing the number of new employees in that category in that year by the total number of employees in the same category and the same year. In 2024, the employment rate was 49%, representing the percentage of employees who joined the company in 2024 compared to the total employees. It is important to note that no employee is paid with the gross minimum wage.
