Trainee Programs We offer university graduates who have studied a wide range of disciplines, interesting positions and with a multitude of possibilities for career launch. This year we had 11 participants in these programs (1 from the IT department, 2 from the Human Resources department and another 2 from the Finance department). Educational partnerships and support for the younger generations The company continues to invest in the training of future professionals by strengthening partnerships with higher education institutions. In this context, we offer students the opportunity to carry out their internships within the company, thus contributing to their professional development in a genuine business environment. At the same time, through the Scholarship@PENNY program, developed in collaboration with the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, the company provides students with a structured internship program, which offers them access to practical experience, mentoring and the opportunity to actively get involved in projects relevant to their field of study. Students who meet the objective of the allocated project are awarded a scholarship worth 5 000 RON. In 2024, a total of 11 students joined these initiatives, one of whom was part of the sustainability team, reflecting our commitment to support education and contribute to the training of a new generation of specialists. In addition, within our sustainability team, in 2024, we implemented an extended paid Internship program for 3 months, and the person was subsequently hired full-time in the Supply Chain team. Entrepreneurial development – My PENNY Own it! MY PENNY Own it! It was created from the belief that innovation and entrepreneurship can transform the way we work and collaborate. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate an organizational culture in which colleagues are encouraged to think creatively, identify novel solutions and actively contribute to the optimization of processes in stores. Multifunctional teams collaborate to turn ideas into concrete projects, with a real impact on the operational activity. Beyond the results, MY PENNY Own it! It means the courage to get out of your comfort zone, taking the initiative and actively engaging in the transformation of the organization. In 2024, we focused on the implementation of the projects of the first two editions, and in 2025 we will enthusiastically launch the third edition. 5 days in stores The "5 Days in Stores" program is dedicated to Headquarters colleagues, to help them better understand Penny's operations. For this, we have 5 days that we make available to those who want to study the activity of their colleagues in stores. In 2024, we had 24 colleagues involved, from departments such as: Audit & Security, Marketing, MPDA, Legal, IT, Purchasing.
