EXPLANATION OF THE IMPACT We see ourselves as a responsible corporate citizen, actively involved in the communities where we operate and where support is needed. Our business model, centered on accessibility and friendly prices, allows us to be present in hundreds of communities in Romania, offering products and services to all social categories. This strategic positioning gives us a significant role in the life of local communities, and the PENNY brand continues to generate a positive impact through social responsibility projects. Over time, we have had a considerable impact through our social responsibility projects, which we have continued into 2024, including through new initiatives and collaborations with NGOs and various local stakeholder groups. We are committed to supporting people in need – vulnerable children, women, the elderly and other marginalized groups – through collaborations that promote health, well-being and social inclusion. At the same time, we support the development of vulnerable children through educational and career programs, ensuring their access to education and professional development opportunities. Through these efforts, we strengthen relationships with the communities in which we operate, with the main objective of improving the quality of life and promoting a sustainable future for all. Social involvement HOW WE CONTROL THE IMPACT In 2024, we strengthened our commitment through initiatives dedicated to supporting people in need – from vulnerable children, women and the elderly, to other marginalized groups and partnered with NGOs and local stakeholders to promote health, well-being and social inclusion. Our educational and career programs have provided children with access to development opportunities, helping to build a sustainable future. At the same time, we invested in the development of community infrastructure and supported recurring CSR projects, including those with sponsorship from previous years, whose positive effects were also felt in 2024. Through nutrition and physical activity campaigns, such as the Walk15 competition, the Points League or sports campaigns with the national team chef, we have promoted a healthy lifestyle, especially among young people. In the field of education, we have partnered with educational institutions to develop students' skills and modernize school leadership. We have been actively involved in responsible food management, protecting biodiversity and reducing food waste, through collaborations with food banks and national campaigns. We promote sustainable consumer choices by encouraging the use of eco-friendly packaging and responsibly sourced products. All these initiatives are an integral part of our environmental strategy, detailed in the dedicated chapter. As part of our commitment to community development, we have been partners in festivals and events organized in different regions of the country, contributing to the creation of favorable contexts for social interaction, informal education and the promotion of local values.
