Code for Romania In 2024, we joined the Civic pillar of the Infrastructure for Good, supporting together with Code for Romania the development of digital solutions aimed at strengthening civil society and facilitating citizens' access to essential services. Through this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment to the sustainable development of society, supporting Code for Romania in creating and maintaining essential digital solutions for strengthening the non-governmental sector, facilitating citizens' access to public information and services, as well as promoting active civic engagement. 6. Bucharest Community Foundation – Bucharest Environmental Platform – Round IV of funding The Environmental Platform for Bucharest is a strategic program of the Bucharest Community Foundation, initiated in 2021. Through essential directions such as research, funding, and collaboration, the Environmental Platform for Bucharest collects data and concrete examples to understand environmental challenges and the solutions proposed by civil society, mobilizes financial resources for their implementation and scaling, and creates a framework for collaboration between NGOs, private companies, and public administration. Through this program, the Bucharest Community Foundation has funded 58 projects from 2021 to 2025, with a total value of 3 million euros, through several rounds of grants dedicated to the urban environment. 5. SERA Romania Foundation We have launched, in collaboration with the SERA Romania Foundation, an internal program dedicated to supporting our colleagues who are facing serious oncological problems. This program provides financial support for the necessary treatments, helping to reduce the financial burden and improve the quality of life of those affected. We want to be with our colleagues during these difficult times, and our program allows them to focus more on recovery and emotional support from families and loved ones. For us, this initiative improves the image of the organization and contributes to maintaining a united team. At the societal level, such programs help to normalize support for people affected by cancer and help reduce discrimination related to serious illnesses. The fourth round of funding of the Environmental Platform for Bucharest, supported by us with a total value of 100 000 euros, was dedicated to projects that address problems and opportunities related to urban biodiversity. Three initiatives with a direct impact on the relationship between people and nature in the city were selected: the protection and rehabilitation of urban fauna, ecological education and the creation of green spaces with community value. By supporting PENNY, the fourth round of the Environmental Platform for Bucharest has contributed to the formation of an increasingly solid network of initiatives that make the city a better place to live – for people, plants and animals alike.
