Beehave Association – Permablitz at Elena Cuza National College Budget: 185 000 lei After a complex relocation of the project due to administrative difficulties, Beehave was able to transform the courtyard of the Elena Cuza National College into a community permaculture garden. Main results: • Arrangement of a green space of 1 400 m², with more than 80 species of plants, a pond, composting system and irrigation. • The garden is used daily by more than 300 students, teachers and community members for learning and relaxation. • Changing the teaching model in school, by switching to outdoor educational activities, already planned for the 2025-2026 school year. • The involvement of 150 external volunteers (59 appellants), as well as in-kind contributions from ADP Sector 6 and an irrigation company, which reduced costs by 80%. The project has become an example of collaboration between NGOs, administration and the community, generating significant visibility on social media and interest from influencers who have volunteered. Educating and informing consumers We believe that informing and educating consumers is essential to help them navigate an increasingly diverse market. We take responsibility for providing access to relevant resources and information that enable them to make conscious and responsible choices. Transparency and access to knowledge about our products, as well as their impact on health and the environment, remain priorities for us, as we believe that a well-informed consumer is a powerful consumer. Education is not limited to understanding product characteristics; it also involves knowing individual rights and responsibilities. For this reason, we conduct information campaigns and organize interactive workshops aimed at raising awareness about the importance of informed choices. In this way, we contribute to the formation of a community of active and responsible consumers, capable of positively influencing the environment in which they live and actively participating in building a more sustainable society. In 2024, the PENNY – EFdeN partnership was highlighted by the launch of the "Guide to Sustainable Living,"* a practical resource for adopting an environmentally and healthconscious lifestyle. This guide offers accessible solutions for reducing carbon footprints and conserving resources, responsible consumption, and reducing food waste, including recipes created by Chef Cezar Munteanu and tips for effective recycling and saving water and energy at home. The launch of the guide marked the culmination of a partnership lasting over four years, during which PENNY supported the EFdeN Sustainable City project, the first concept of a sustainable city and community in Romania, where visitors can experience sustainable solutions applied in real life. Another publication that PENNY partnered on in 2024 is the "Healthy Adolescent Guide: Nutrition, Exercise, and Mental Health,"** developed within the School of Health program implemented by the Wello Association. The guide is available for free online and provides essential information about nutrition, emotional health, and MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGEMENT SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE ABOUT US AND OUR VALUE CHAIN ABOUT THE REPORT THE FUTURE IS MADE TODAY SUSTAINABILITY MILESTONES SUSTAINABILITY REPORT PENNY ROMANIA 2024 254/276
