Logistics and mobility IMPACT EXPLANATION In the framework of any retail activity, logistics is a material aspect with an impact on environment, but also on the economic situation of the company. The optimal management of logistics and transport brings benefits to our company by reducing the costs and helping to achieve our strategic goal ofmitigating the environmental impact. OUR IMPACT AND PERFORMANCE IN FIGURES Fuel consumption increased by 10%, in particular due to the expansion of the store network. The freight transport emissions cause almost 29% of the total greenhouse gas emissions of PENNY Romania. In 2021, the optimisation and the modernisation of the network of logistics centres continued with the opening of the Filiași logistics centre. Following the continuous development of the logistics network, the average lengths of delivery routes are decreasing. Besides the improvements to the warehouse structure, the operational processes, the forecasting techniques and the planning of transport routes are continuously improved. Therefore, in 2021 and in the previous years, over 95% of the entire truck fleet was used, as far as the in-service vehicles were concerned. HOWWE MANAGE THE IMPACT PENNY Romania's Logistics Department ensures the supply of stores with the products needed. A complex transport and storage systemguarantees the availability, the quality and the freshness of products on shelf. In the context of an accelerated expansion, in order to maintain the logistics' sustainability, we take at PENNY the following steps: z the strategic reduction of the distance between the warehouses and the stores z the increase in the degree of utilisation of vehicles z the modernisation of the contracted fleet z the continuous monitoring of truck temperature Moreover, we monitor in real-time the route of trucks supplying our stores and warehouses. We invested in green infrastructure in order to encourage our customers and employees to adopt ecological mobility means, by introducing charging stations for electric cars and developing bicycle parking spaces. We train our employees on the economic utilisation of vehicles and continue to implement measures concerning the continuous monitoring of fuel consumption of all vehicles included in our own fleet.
