SERA ROMÂNIA Foundation Together with the SERA ROMÂNIA Foundation, we have opened the first and the only itinerant recovery centre in Romania, for the disabled children from the Danube Delta, through an investment amounting to 120 000 Euros. The boat will travel along the Danube Delta in order to provide frequent and predictable therapy sessions for 100 children with reduced transport opportunities. The itinerant recovery centre for disabled children has a total of five doctor's offices and six specialists, and will travel regularly in over 11 localities from the Danube Delta, including the disadvantaged areas. The centre shall provide assessment, complex recovery, counselling, socialisation, and socio-familial reintegration services, as well as day care for disabled children from low-income families. Save the Children Romania In 2021, the Cluj-Napoca Emergency County Hospital has receivedmedical equipment in the total amount of 50 262 Euros – a fully equipped transport incubator, a CPAP Vilamed respiratory device and a transport ventilator for the transport of new-born babies to the Intensive Care Compartment. The Clinical Neonatology Section II has 30 rooming-in beds and 8 beds in the Intensive Neonatal Care Compartment. Every year, 2 300 – 2 350 newborn babies are cared for in the framework of this service. Only in 2020, in the Neonatology Section II of the hospital, 150 premature babies from several counties in the region needed respiratory support and 25 of them needed invasive mechanical ventilation. This equipment was possible due to the support of Save the Children and PENNY. PENNY has provided 25 000 Euros in this respect. Casa Lidia Foundation Since 2018, PENNY supports the efforts of Casa Lidia Foundation, by providing the children in its care with food from the PENNY stores from Bucharest and Ilfov. Casa Lidia hosts and helps children and young people to find a loving environment in which to grow.
