In 2021, we expanded our business in the e-Commerce area, developing a partnership with GLOVO. Therefore, we have been closer to the expectations and needs of our customers during a critical period of the pandemic. Also, in 2021, we successfully invested in new technologies such as equipping stores with photovoltaic panels, in our quest for climate-neutral operations. We also invested in the development of high-quality products in collaboration with local Romanian producers. More than half of the food is regionally sourced and 86.31% of our suppliers are Romanian. These strategic directions were found in both the permanent product range and our in-out promotions throughout 2021. Therefore, 30.58% of the turnover came from the sale of its own-brand products in 2021. For our business to thrive, we take into account the feedback, preferences, and needs of our customers. Our loyal customers have the opportunity to access the PENNY digital card in the PENNY application. The digital card is an easy way to buy with a smartphone. An important component of sustainable development for us is customer education. We thrive to provide transparent information on the origin of products, nutrition, and food ingredients. We promote responsible consumption and avoid food waste. The value chain is the core of sustainability reporting because based on it we determine the categories of stakeholders and identify material issues that can impact stakeholders and influence the performance of our company. At the same time, the value chain is of strategic importance for the development of the business. By correctly identifying the chain elements, we can apply continuous improvement practices for our products and services, bringing innovation and new collaboration methods with the stakeholders.
