Textiles Cotton is a natural fibrewithmany positive properties: is skin friendly, soft, durable, and washable. VIVESS textile products with PRO PLANET certification from the 2021 national loyalty campaign with the international label Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) are ecologically manufactured. The GOTS standards helps protecting the environment during cotton cultivation and textile production. At least 70% of fibres must come from controlled ecological agriculture. No pesticides, chemical fertilizers or genetically modified seeds are used for growing of crops, and cotton is whitened with ecological oxygen during processing. The standard also requires producers to comply with strict social requirements, with human rights, and with strict requirements concerning working conditions and remuneration. Sustainable private labels In order to align to our requirements, PENNY suppliers must hold at least one of the following certifications: International Featured Standards (IFS) Food – Food products and animal food International Featured Standards (IFS) Household and Personal Care (HPC) – Non-food products During 2021, a large part of our privat brand suppliers held the IFS certification. The purchase requirements for privat brand assortments are those laid down by the IFS standard. The social audit requirement was also introduced with the IFS.
