It was conceived as a sustainable building, and the construction materials used had been EDP certified (Environmental Product Declarations), the generated waste and the fuel consumption had been monitored throughout the construction works. It is the industrial building which was awarded the highest score at BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) International New Construction 2016. The score obtained is outstanding – 92.89%. It has more than 1 200 photovoltaic panels, electric car charging stations and a centralized system for monitoring heat and electricity consumption.
