The opening of the fourth PENNY logistics centre The construction of the logistics centre creates new jobs in the Oltenia region and, an extended team, of over 130 persons, was hired to build the newwarehouse, alongside the partners Wincon and Oopy Architecture. We have made an investment of approximatively Euro 26 million in land acquisition, land greening, the construction yard, and the purchase of special equipment. The Filiași logistics centre operates as an agent for streamlining the logistics flow and the regional distribution of food and non-food products for our south-western stores. In the beginning, the centre has been the distribution source for approximatively 50 stores, with the possibility to be extended in order to serve 100 stores. By the end of 2021, the warehouse has created 142 jobs, of which 4 management positions, and 34% of the new jobs are occupied by women, and most employees reside in Dolj County.
